Skill Development

The objective of Skill Development in any country is to create a workforce empowered with the necessary and continuously upgraded skills, knowledge and qualifications so as to access better employment and competitive opportunities in the current VUCA market. Through skill development programmes the productivity and employability of the workforce can be increased, whether in the organized and the unorganized sectors.

The vision statement of the National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015 is “To create an ecosystem of empowerment by skilling on a large scale at speed with high standards and to promote a culture of innovation-based entrepreneurship which can generate wealth and employment so as to ensure Sustainable Livelihoods for all citizens in the Country.”
